Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to react after Antoine Griezmann posted a tweet after full-time in the Champions League last night.

What’s the story?

Well, the Atletico Madrid man certainly wasn’t happy about an incident involving Diogo Jota at Anfield last night.

In the 85th minute, the £41m man received a yellow card for a high foot offence on Kieran Trippier, which left Griezmann fuming.

Why? Well, the Frenchman was given a straight red card at the Wanda Metropolitano on October 19th, following a high foot on Roberto Firmino.

Clearly, Griezmann feels a lack of consistency was at large here, as he wrote ‘yellow at Anfield’ while also including an emoji showing frustration.

You can see why the £103m man is upset, although they were different incidents.

In Jota’s case, the Portugal international was attempting a bicycle kick, and only had eyes for the ball.

With Griezmann, his studs were dangerous close to Firmino’s eyes, and a red card was deserved even though it clearly wasn’t deliberate.

Diego Simeone’s side won La Liga last season, and have proven themselves to be one of the best teams in Europe over the past decade.

So, for the Reds to swat them aside with relative ease at Anfield last night was very impressive, and spoke volumes about Liverpool’s dominance.

Jürgen Klopp’s side are now on a remarkable 25-game unbeaten run in all competitions, equalling a club-record.
