Sol Campbell has claimed that it’s ‘unbelievable’ it has come to the north London derby for Tottenham and Arsenal to fight it out for the final Champions League spot, as he told talkSPORT.

The former defender thinks tonight’s game will ‘define careers’ and when asked who he is going to support, he simply responded by saying ‘I am going to sit back and enjoy it’.

Tottenham go into the match, which will be played in front of their own supporters, knowing that defeat would hand fourth spot to Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

Equally, three points for Antonio Conte and Spurs, then this race for Champions League football will turn on its head going into the final few games.

Campbell has played for both sides and controversially made a free transfer to Arsenal over two decades ago, as he shared his thoughts on the match.

“For me, it’s just unbelievable that it has come to this,” said Campbell. “It’s going to define a lot of careers. And how people look upon Arsenal. How they look at Tottenham. I feel this is the defining moment for both clubs. There is a lot riding on this game.

“It is down to Tottenham to win (because even a defeat means Arsenal would still be fourth). If Arteta gets the win, then I think the fans might relax a little bit.

“If Conte doesn’t win, then he might think that he has to look elsewhere.

On who he is supporting: “I am not going (to the game). I am just going to sit back and enjoy it and see how Arsenal are. They have put themselves in the driving positions. They deserve to be in there.

“But you never know. Tottenham might spoil the party and show who they are.”

Biggest north London derby in a generation?

Given what is on the line, this has to be the biggest north London derby in a generation.

A lot is riding on this game and the end result could also have a big bearing on the summer transfer market.

Secure fourth spot and you can dream of possibly signing the big boys when the transfer window re-opens.

But if it’s Europa League football, then the pressure and question marks on that team will just flood in.
