Chris Basham told Sky Sports on Super Sunday that he feels ‘sorry’ for his teammate Aaron Ramsdale in goal because of the ‘unbelievable’ finishing of Tottenham duo, Heung-Min Son and Gareth Bale from the weekend.
Tottenham recorded a 4-0 win against the Premier League’s bottom-of-the-table and now relegated club, with Bale netting a hat-trick.
Whilst the Blades will be kicking themselves with how they defended on the night, there were some quality finishes on show, especially Son’s and Tottenham’s fourth strike of the game.
England U21 international, Ramsdale, had his work cut out in between the sticks, as Basham lauded the finishing from Tottenham’s attacking duo.
“It comes down to the quality of player,” said Basham. “The finishes that they have got and the speed that they have got.
“A lot of composure from their strikers. They were top-quality finishes. I feel sorry for Aaron in goal because they were unbelievable strikes of the ball.”

And it could have been a lot worse for Sheffield United had Harry Kane not left his shooting boots at home because he was missing that clinical nature to his game.
In the end, Spurs fans will be glad to see Bale in such form because they need him at his best if they are to secure Champions League football at the end of the season.
It will be interesting if Bale does end the season with some fireworks whether Spurs will look to extend his stay in North London because he is due back at Real Madrid in the summer.
