Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has been linked with the soon-to-be vacant manager role at Arsenal.

Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is seen during the Ladbrokes Scottish Premiership match between Hibernian and Celtic at Easter Road on April 21, 2018 in Edinburgh, Scotland.

According to the likes of Sky Sports, Celtic manager Rodgers is one of the names in the running to replace Arsene Wenger at Arsenal.

Rodgers was named among the early favourites to take over at the Emirates in the summer after Wenger announced he would be leaving the club last Friday.

Celtic have since insisted they would not stand in his way should he wish to return to the Premier League where he came close to winning the title with Liverpool.

Rodgers has reiterated that he is happy at Celtic Park.

But Jamie Redknapp feels Rodgers could have everything he needs in place at Arsenal when he delivered his verdict to Sky Sports on Rodgers potentially leaving the Hoops.

“He has done a great job and maybe people think he deserves another shot at a top job, a top six club,” Redknapp told Sky Sports.

“It’s an unbelievable opportunity, one of the best clubs in the world, the infrastructure is there, the finances.

“I think it’s a great club.I look at that squad and although I don’t think it’s a great squad, I think they’ve just lost their way and direction and someone new will come in and give them the shot in the arm they need.”

Rodgers has established himself as a firm favourite at Celtic Park looking to win back-to-back trebles with the Hoops.

But that success has attracted the attention of a number of clubs south of the border where he was last seen being sacked as Liverpool manager.
