Ian wright raved about Dejan Kulusevski on Match of the Day on BBC One (10:50pm, August 6, 2022) after watching him in action against Southampton at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
Antonio Conte’s Tottenham hammered Southampton 4-1 at home in their opening Premier League game of the season.
Kulusevski scored one of the goals and provided the assist for another.
The 22-year-old Sweden international winger, signed on loan from Juventus in January 2022, was arguably the best player on the pitch at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
MOTD presenter and former Tottenham striker Gary Lineker was impressed by Kulusevski, and so was Arsenal legend Wright.

Lineker said on Match of the Day on BBC One (10:50pm, August 6, 2022): “He has had quite an impact, hasn’t he?”
Wright responded: “Unbelievable impact. If I was a Tottenham fan at the moment, I would be quite excited because they have got a player like (Kulusevski).
“He is only 22, and his manager is talking about how humble he is and how much he wants to learn. He is fantastic.”
Big player
In our view, Dejan Kulusevski has established himself as one of the best and most important players in the Tottenham Hotspur team.
The winger was brilliant for Spurs during the second half of last season, and he seems to have brought his form to this campaign as well.
Kulusevski scored five goals and gave eight assists in 14 Premier League starts for Tottenham during the second half of last season.
Tottenham are aiming to finish in the Premier League top four this season and will also play in the UEFA Champions League.
In our opinion, Kulusevski will play a big role in Tottenham’s quest to be successful this season.
