Stunned Newcastle fans have taken to Twitter in disbelief after watching a 21-second clip showing Callum Wilson and Jacob Murphy warming up.
The two Englishman were practising their shooting before the clash with Leeds kicked off, and their efforts made for embarrassing viewing.
Neither Wilson or Murphy actually score a goal in the clip.
The former Bournemouth striker curls two efforts narrowly wide of the far post, although he should at least be getting them on target with no pressure on him.
In Murphy’s case, we only see the £12 million signing from Norwich have one shot.
However, it was a completely wild attempt, which saw the ball fly high into the St James’ Park stands.
Understandably, this footage has caused a bit of a stir among the Toon Army on Twitter.
You would at least expect the Magpies forwards to be able to finish in a draining drill, in which they were afforded unchallenged shots at goal.
On the basis of the footage, it’s no surprise that Newcastle are the fifth-lowest scorers in the Premier League this season with 19 goals.
In fairness, having now gone 11 games without a win, Wilson and Murphy are perhaps suffering from a significant lack of confidence.
