Marine boss Neil Young has told BBC Sport that he was seriously impressed by Tottenham Hotspur trio Lucas Moura, Dele Alli and Moussa Sissoko yesterday.

Tottenham ran out 5-0 winners over Marine in the FA Cup on Sunday, with Jose Mourinho naming a strong line-up against the non-league side.

Alli, Sissoko and Lucas were among some of the most recognisable faces in Tottenham’s line-up.

And Marine boss Young admits that their movement was a level above what he was used to seeing.

“It was a tough afternoon, they brought a very strong side really, and we’re grateful for that,” Young said.

“They’ve shown us respect have Jose Mourinho, and their club, to bring all their stars here to play against us. I’m very proud of my team, we’ve come a long way. It was our eighth FA Cup tie but it was a tough afternoon.

“They had a lot of the ball as you’d expect – they are technically unbelievable. Their movement in midfield with Dele Alli and Moussa Sissoko and Lucas Moura and for the first 20-25 minutes we were in the game, but once they scored they upped it a couple of gears and when you think you’re getting a foothold they bring on Gareth Bale and Sergio Reguilón but that’s great credit to Jose Mourinho for bringing those players on.”

Mourinho promised to name a strong Tottenham team right from when the draw was made and the Portuguese boss was certainly true to his word.

Alli, in particular, stood out on the day – as the England international looked a class above.

The 24-year-old may not have got on the scoresheet, but he created chance after chance for his teammates and was constantly involved in the final third.

Mourinho, like Young, also praised Alli after the match – and the Tottenham midfielder may be hoping this game can prove to be the turning point, after what has been a difficult season for him so far.
