‘Unbelievable’ Liverpool player told by his teammate that he should be ‘criticised more’

James Milner has shared how he might criticise Mohamed Salah ‘more’ because it then gets the best out of the Liverpool forward.

The versatile star labelled Salah as ‘unbelievable’ for his latest performance in Liverpool colours, which saw him scoring yet again against Manchester City.

Just like for the rest of Jurgen Klopp’s squad, it hasn’t exactly been an ideal start to the new season, as they have hovered mainly outside of the European places.

The Reds know that if they don’t get their act together, quicker rather than later, they can then forget about a title challenge and they might not even secure a top-four finish.

Someone like Ian Wright, after the win over Man City, thinks that the title challenge is still probably over, but that weekend performance might have changed things.

Nonetheless, Milner was full of praise for the speedster showcasing his outstanding ability on the ball once again, as he told Premier League Productions.

“He does it time and time again,” said Milner. “Sometimes I think I should criticise him more because anytime he gets criticism, he will score and he responds so well – he is an unbelievable player and is fantastic. He keeps producing.”

CAN SALAH NOW MOTOR?

There is no doubt that Salah had lost that spark in his game and there wasn’t that instant ability to have the opposition dancing one way, and then another.

But, up against the Premier League champions, that was the Salah of old and a player now hoping to motor because his team need it.

During lockdown, Salah scored one of his great goals against West Ham United at the London Stadium and he will be hoping for a repeat, this time at Anfield.

Some may rule Klopp’s side out of the title race, but other than Man City, in recent years, they have been the only other team capable of going on crazy runs.
