Gary Neville has suggested that Liverpool transfer target, Jude Bellingham, should stay at Borussia Dortmund after scoring on his World Cup debut for England, as he told ITV Sport.
The 19-year-old opened the scoring for England as they thrashed Iran 6-2 to ease to three points in Group B, as Neville labelled Bellingham as ‘unbelievable’.
Before a ball was kicked in Qatar, the Dortmund captain was already being bigged up and wanted by the best of the best in Europe, including those in the Anfield boardroom.

Well, he showcased why against an Iran team that just couldn’t handle the pure brutality in which Bellingham was carrying the ball through the midfield.
In years gone by, Dortmund have been known to sell their top stars when the price is right, as Neville was asking whether Bellingham will look at Erling Halland’s early success at Manchester City and Jadon Sancho’s struggles at Old Trafford in order to make his own transfer call in the summer.
“What do you think about him staying over there for a bit longer and developing a bit more?” said Neville. “He has been unbelievable.
“Do you think he would look at, Haaland, he has been a sensation since he has come, but Sancho has been a really difficult one. Will he be looking at both situations and thinking ‘what is best for me?'”

SHOULD BELLINGHAM LEAVE OR STAY?
One thing is for sure, the hard-hitting midfielder isn’t going to be short of options if he does decide to head for the exit door in 2023.
If that’s the case, then Dortmund wouldn’t be able to stop in his way, but they will hope he well and truly rips it up at the World Cup, in the meantime.
Simply because it elevates his game to another level, but most importantly from Dortmund’s perspective, that price tag on his head increases. plus English tax is pretty expensive.
