Ben White told Brighton’s official YouTube channel that the speed in which Leeds attack is ‘unbelievable’.
Leeds suffered a 1-0 defeat to Brighton on Saturday, with White returning to Elland Road for the first time since helping the Yorkshire club earn promotion back to the Premier League.
To the surprise of not many, White put on a strong showing in familiar surroundings, as Leeds looked unusually blunt in attack.
But White was mightly impressed with Leeds’ style after seeing it action from both sides.
“Last year was so special for me and to come back was absolutely amazing,” said White.
“They are always running. They don’t stop like I saw last year. The way they play is amazing to watch. The speed they attack is unbelievable.
“The boys dug deep. We ran as much as they did and we have done well – I think when you are playing Leeds, you are never that much in control. They don’t give up literally until the last minute, so we had to stay positive and not let them score.”
Leeds didn’t have that energy or natural buzz to their game which keeps teams on their toes at all times.
The form of certain players isn’t helping, nor is the fact that star man Kalvin Phillips was missing.
Whilst it won’t be a concern to the Leeds supporters yet, some are just slowly looking over their shoulders.
