Celtic goalkeeper Joe Hart redeemed himself in a massive way against Rangers this afternoon.

Rangers held the Scottish Premiership leaders to a 1-1 draw at Parkhead.

But it could and very almost was a 2-1 win for Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side – and would’ve been if not for the Celtic stopper.

In the dying minutes, the veteran keeper, a £1 million signing from Spurs last summer, pulled off an excellent save to deny Scott Arfield on the line, and then again to keep out Ryan Jack’s rebound.

Earlier in the half, Hart was suspect when Rangers hitman Fashion Sakala equalised for the Gers by beating him at his near post.

Here’s how Neil McCann saw the latter save, telling BBC Radio Scotland: “Unbelievable save. I think it’s his forearm rather than his hand, he doesn’t know too much about it. Then he’s up again for Ryan Jack’s rebound. A huge moment.”

It’s as you were at the top of the Premiership.

Celtic are still six points clear of Rangers and, with only three games remaining, that should be that regarding the title race.

Really, a draw doesn’t matter too much for Ange Postecoglou’s outfit, who went ahead through Jota on 21 minutes.

Only a defeat would’ve increased anxiety among the Celtic support regarding the title race.

But because of Hart’s stop against Arfield, there’s very little to worry about from here and the Hoops should most definitely wind up reclaiming the title that Steven Gerrard brought to Ibrox last season.
