Alan Shearer told Amazon Prime Sport that Sebastien Haller’s goal for West Ham last night was ‘unbelievable’ as he helped his side record a 1-1 draw against Crystal Palace.

Whilst goals have been hard to come by at West Ham for the club’s 2019 signing, he is sure scoring some beauties when he is putting the ball into the back of the net.

In truth, Haller’s overhead kick goal was overdue because he threatened to do the same against Leeds last time out but his effort was saved.

However, there was no stopping yesterday’s strike, which was even better than the effort which was saved at Elland Road, and it impressed a certain Shearer who knows a thing or two about scoring high-quality goals.

“Definitely worth another look, wasn’t it,” said Shearer. “It’s unbelievable, isn’t?! WOW! What a goal and what a finish.”

From West Ham’s perspective, they will be hoping this is the start for Haller and he can now go on and produce the goods on a consistent basis.

Under Manuel Pellegrini, the man who brought him to the London Stadium, the target-man was heading towards a flop-like signing.

But under David Moyes, he has produced his best performances and there is now serious promise there, it’s just a case of Haller doing it consistently.
