Speaking to Off the Ball, John Aldridge has been discussing Liverpool’s struggles so far this season and whether or not they can get back on track.
The Reds haven’t been at their best so far this term. They currently sit firmly in mid-table, and have lost to the likes of Nottingham Forest and Leeds in recent weeks.
The idea of a title challenge is seemingly all-but over, but Aldridge does think that Liverpool have what it takes to get back on track.
Indeed, the pundit says that the Reds have what it takes to go unbeaten in the league after the World Cup break.

Liverpool to go unbeaten
Aldridge says that it’s not out of the question that Liverpool go unbeaten from December onwards if they get their belief and confidence back.
“With these players and this manager, we can go from December to May unbeaten in the league, we just need that belief and confidence and unity back. The balance up top is not quite right and in the midfield as well. We have time to make amends now,” Aldridge said.
Doable
Aldridge may sound a bit too optimistic here, but the reality is that Liverpool are good enough to go on a run like this.
Their performances towards the back end of last season showed that, while their opening salve in 2019/20 was one of the best Premier League runs you’re likely to ever see.
The Merseyside club have what it takes to go to another level where they’re basically unplayable, but in order to do that, Jurgen Klopp needs to instil a new level of belief and confidence in his squad to get them playing their best football again.
It’s unlikely that Liverpool go on a run like this, but it’s not impossible.
