Petr Cech and Bernd Leno are competing for the goalkeeping spot at Arsenal.

Arsenal boss Unai Emery addressed the media today, ahead of his side’s clash with Chelsea on Saturday, and responded to reporters when asked who he will play in goal at Stamford Bridge, as quoted by Football.London.
The Gunners began life under the Spaniard with a 2-0 defeat at home to Manchester City last weekend, but their is no shame in that, considering the quality of Pep Guardiola’s side.
Many Arsenal fans are still more optimistic this season, however, with Emery renowned for his tactical nouse, unlike the recently departed Arsene Wenger, who seemed to give his players free reign to do as they wished.
One position where Emery was expected to address immediately was the goalkeeping role, with Petr Cech being deemed to be way past his best.
The Spaniard brought Bernd Leno in from Bayer Leverkusen this summer, but the German warmed the bench during Arsenal’s Premier League opener against City as Cech manned the posts.
And Emery insisted that nothing will change for Saturday’s trip to Chelsea, as quoted by Football.London:

“For Saturday, the decision for me is easy. Petr Cech can continue to start the match, I believe in him. If in the future Bernd starts, I believe in him also.”
Arsenal will be looking to bounce back from their opening day defeat with a positive result against their London rivals, and all eyes will be on Cech, as the experienced stopper looks to prove that he is still good enough to cut it at the very highest level.
