Unai Emery has sent a message to Arsenal on Twitter after knocking Mikel Arteta’s side out of the Europa League.
Arsenal have failed to progress to the final of the Europa League this season and take on Premier League rivals Manchester United.
The Gunners played out a goalless draw with Emery’s Villarreal at the Emirates Stadium in North London this evening, going out 2-1 on aggregate.
Emery was sacked as the Arsenal manager before Arteta was given the role on a full-time basis.
The Spaniard has revelled in the win for his Villarreal side, and he has also wished Arsenal the best of luck for the rest of the season.

Emery always conducted himself with class during his time at Arsenal. One should not forget that the Spaniard actually guided the Gunners to the final of the Europa League when he was in charge of the North London outfit.
While revelling in Villarreal’s success, the Spaniard did not forget to wish his former club Arsenal the best of luck in seven words.
It seems that Emery still wants Arsenal to succeed in the future, and it is great to see that.
However, things are looking bleak for Arsenal at the moment. Arteta’s side are not going to finish in the Premier League top four this season, meaning that there will be no Champions League football at the Emirates Stadium in 2021-22.
