Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers got Umar Sadiq his debut on Sunday.

Umar Sadiq marked his debut for Rangers with a goal on Sunday.
Steven Gerrard’s side thumped Championship side Wigan Athletic 3-0 at Ibrox in their final pre-season friendly of the summer.
Sadiq, who joined the Gers on loan from Roma earlier this month, scored Rangers’ third goal of the afternoon.
The towering Nigerian striker was omitted from Gerrard’s squad for the team that travelled to Croatia for their first-leg Europa League qualifier with Osijek in midweek.
The 38-year-old intimated that Sadiq wasn’t yet up to par in regards to fitness, but the big man looked sharp on Sunday and he reacted to the debut with two emojis and a couple of pictures on Instagram.
It’ll be interesting to see if Gerrard picks him on Thursday when the Gers welcome the Croatian side to Ibrox for the second leg, with the Scottish giants leading 1-0 in the tie.
Alfredo Morelos scored the all-important away goal that day, and bagged one against the Latics, so if Sadiq is to be involved then it’ll more than likely be off the bench.
