Ibrox side Glasgow Rangers terminated Umar Sadiq’s loan in January.

Umar Sadiq has told The Sunday Post that he was humiliated by Rangers when they stripped him of his first-team privileges.
The 22-year-old striker saw his season-long loan contract from Roma terminated by Rangers in January.
Sadiq only managed to start one game for the Gers – Alfredo Morelos and Kyle Lafferty were both unavailable – and his departure from Ibrox wasn’t a huge surprise.
The Nigerian marksman, now with Perugia in Italy’s second tier, revealed that he was exiled by manger Steven Gerrard – and even claims that he wasn’t allowed to park his car in a certain area of the Auchenhowie training complex.
He told The Sunday Post: “All of a sudden, I was told that I could not use the first-team dressing-room any more. Instead I had to go change with the kids.
“Then, after a few days, I was also forbidden to park my car inside the training centre. I felt humiliated and kept asking what was the reason for the change of attitude. But I never received any answers.
“Gerrard wouldn’t give any explanation about it, neither to me nor my representatives. Gerrard proved to be very different from what I believed he would be.”
Sadiq, who earns £6,000 per week in Italy [Calciomercato], appears to have landed on his feet in Serie B, netting twice in his last three games.
In the same interview, he cited the recruitment of Lafferty was a factor in his failure in Glasgow, given that Lafferty’s arrival pushed him down the pecking order.
