‘Ultra-reliable source’ claims PSG are trying to trump Tottenham in race for Mauricio Pochettino’s prime target Ryan Sessegnon

Tottenham Hotspur’s interest in young Fulham star Ryan Sessegnon is under threat according to reports.

Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino has made the flying 17-year-old his prime target this summer with The Mirror claiming the player prefers Spurs over a host of other top clubs including Manchester United and Liverpool.

Fulham are believed to value their prize asset at a cool £50 million but Spurs are looking to continue to build a side capable of challenging for titles in the coming years.

But Pochettino’s interest in Sessegnon is under threat, according to a report quoting an “ultra-reliable source” in France.

Espoirs du Foot claims superclub Paris Saint Germain have held multiple meetings with the representatives of Sessegnon.

Espoirs du Foot – described as an “ultra reliable source” by other French media outlets such as Get French Football – reports that the player is also the subject of interest from AS Monaco.

The lure of playing alongside the likes of Neymar and Kylian MBappe for one of the most glamourous clubs in world football could prove difficult for Sessegnon to ignore.

But there could be hope for Tottenham with the report claiming PSG are interested in the youngster to play as a full-back with the player’s preference believed to be operating as a winger.

Sessegnon has 14 goals for Fulham this season from his deep lying role and a number of assists.

He would certainly be an upgrade on Ben Davies while Danny Rose’s long-term Tottenham future remains uncertain.
