The West Ham United youngster was in inspirational form against Arsenal at the weekend.

West Ham stopper Łukasz Fabiański spoke exclusively to the club’s official website, and opened up on an interesting conversation that he shared with Declan Rice prior to Saturday’s win over Arsenal, where the 20-year-old notched up his first senior goal for the club.
Rice has firmly established himself as a vital player for the Hammers this season, and he recently signed a new deal with the club – one that runs until the summer of 2024, something that the London Stadium faithful were obviously delighted about.
West Ham are making a sustained push for the top seven this season, and if they are to have any chance whatsoever of doing just that, the 20-year-old will have to maintain his fine form between now and May.
Fabianski talked up Rice’s ability, when speaking exclusively to the club’s official website, sharing what the defensive midfielder told him leading up to their win over the Gunners:

“During one training session he scored three screamers against me and we had a chat about it. He told me he’d love to finally score for West Ham and it happened on Saturday. I’m very happy for him because he works hard and he’s been great for us this season.”
The problem for West Ham, is that the better Rice becomes, the more interest there will be in his signature, and they quite simply must do everything within their power to keep hold of him for the foreseeable future, if they genuinely want to make real progress as a football club.
