Another bout has dropped off the UFC 319 card, with two fights now scrapped within hours of each other just days before fight night.

UFC 319 heads to Chicago this Saturday, featuring a middleweight title clash between Dricus Du Plessis and Khamzat Chimaev in the main event.

The co-main event is also generating plenty of buzz, with featherweights Lerone Murphy and Aaron Pico facing off in what could be a title eliminator.

There’s plenty more on the card, too. Michael ‘Venom’ Page is set to face Jared Cannonier, while Carlos Prates also makes an appearance.

In the lead-up to the event, fans have been concerned about Chimaev’s availability given his past health issues.

But after adjusting his training setup, ‘Borz’ looks set to go ahead as planned. He’s expected to step into the Octagon this Saturday without any further setbacks.

However, just days before the event, it was confirmed that King Green vs. Diego Ferreira has been cancelled because of an injury to Green.

That wasn’t the only blow. Aaron Bronsteter reported that Rodrigo Sezinando vs. Daniil Donchenko has also been scrapped.

Their anticipated promotional debuts, following impressive regional circuit performances, have been postponed to a later event.

UFC 319 adds last-minute fight

Even though the card has lost two fights, a new bout has surprisingly been added on short notice.

Following an impressive win on Dana White’s Contender Series this past Tuesday, Susurkaev Baisangur is reportedly set to appear at UFC 319, joining his teammate Chimaev on the same card.
