Tottenham Hotspur talent Destiny Udogie has been hailed by his former Udinese teammate Sandi Lovric after a strong start in English football.

Destiny Udogie has truly ‘crazy’ quality in his locker having impressed in his early months at Tottenham Hotspur.

That is the verdict of Udinese midfielder Sandi Lovric, having played together over in Italy.

Udogie showed big potential with Udinese and Tottenham pounced with a £15million deal to sign the Italian.

Tottenham send Udogie back on loan to Udinese for a year but the 20-year-old is now shining in the Premier League.

Udogie has earned huge praise this season, producing impressive performances at left back in Ange Postecoglou’s Tottenham side.

Now a full Italian International too, the sky appears to be the limit for Udogie as long as he keeps developing.

One player who knows Udogie well is Udinese midfielder Sandi Lovric, having played together with the Serie A club.

Slovenia International Lovric has now told The Italian Football Podcast that he thinks Udogie has ‘crazy, crazy quality’ in his locker.

Lovric noted that he watched Udogie in training every day at Udinese and marvelled at his quality, technique and power.

The midfielder added that he is watching Udogie from afar, praising Tottenham’s ‘fantastic’ style of play whilst suggesting that Udogie is ‘on another level’ in terms of his talent and potential.

”Udogie has crazy, crazy quality. We saw it already here in Udine, when you can train with players like this every day, you see the quality, the strength, the technique, the power that he has,” said Lovric.

“I’m really happy for him, that he’s showing this in the Premier League. I’m watching the games and I think Tottenham, until now, they are having an incredible season, they play fantastic football. You saw it here, that he is on another level,” he added.

Udogie has suffered his first big Tottenham setback

Udogie must now show his ability to bounce back having encountered a first real bump in the road at Tottenham.

The left back was sent off against Chelsea earlier this month, picking up two yellow cards in a 4-1 defeat.

Udogie could have been off for the first challenge and Tottenham will now be looking for him to bounce back.

Udogie also missed Italy’s international fixtures through injury, so this has been a testing couple of weeks for him.

We know all about Udogie’s quality, but he must now hit back from suspension and injury as Tottenham look to recover from two straight defeats.
