Bayern Munich have reportedly agreed on personal terms with Ajax youngster Ryan Gravenberch, with Liverpool seemingly beaten in the race for the 19-year-old.
According to Bild, the Netherlands international has agreed to join the Bavarian giants, who are still yet to reach a transfer fee with Ajax. As per the report, the Eredivisie side are eager to sell Gravenberch for €35m (£29m), though Bayern are some way off this valuation.
Soccer News were the ones to break the story on Liverpool’s initial interest in Gravenberch. Though following today’s update, it appears that the Merseyside club are now set to miss out on the talented teenager.
Hailed as a talent who ‘has everything’ according to former Tottenham star and Netherlands international Rafael van der Vaart, Gravenberch could have been a great long-term addition to Liverpool’s midfield.
However, it is Bayern who now look set to land Gravenberch, with the Bundesliga champions keen on lowering the age of their squad this summer with some key names ready to depart the German giants in the transfer window.
Indeed, Gravenberch would have been a sensational signing for most clubs this summer, though with Bayern now agreeing to personal terms and the club thrashing out a transfer fee with Ajax, Liverpool have seemingly lost this battle to their UEFA Champions League rivals.
Liverpool have missed out on a gem as Gravenberch looks set for Bayern

With incredible athleticism and learning the Ajax way of football, it makes sense why Bayern were so intent on signing Gravenberch, and why Liverpool could live to regret not signing the Netherlands international.
At 19, Gravenberch is one of the top talents in world football and a player who could play in a multitude of different roles in the midfield, and with Bayern winning the race for the youngster, Liverpool have missed out on a gem of a signing this summer.
