Rangers could stand to add a battering ram of a forward this summer.

Rangers have a number of different strikers at Steven Gerrard’s disposal, but there could still be movement come the end of the season.
Alfredo Morelos is bound to attract interest off the back of a sensational season, Kyle Lafferty hasn’t quite hit the heights expected of him and there’s a slim possibility of Jermain Defoe being recalled by Bournemouth.
One thing Rangers may lack though is a true battering ram; a physical presence who can be a nuisance to defenders with real physicality.
The Gers have had such strikers in the past; Jean-Claude Darcheville, Daniel Cousin, Dado Prso, Nikica Jelavic all fit into that kind of mould, but Lafferty hasn’t been able to showcase those abilities this season.
Gerrard attempted to bring in a player with height, speed and strength in Umar Sadiq, but with that move flopping, another attempt should be made this summer.
Hearts striker Uche Ikpeazu is one player who could fit the bill, after he tormented the Celtic back line on Wednesday night with his strength and endless running.

The 24-year-old may not be the most technical player, and his goal record of four in 15 this season isn’t quite at the Morelos level, but as a player to bring off the bench and wreak havoc, he could bring a new dimension to the Rangers side.
He has the qualities that Rangers lack sometimes in attack, and whether it’s Ikpeazu or another player, Gerrard should look for a battering ram of a forward this summer.
