Leeds United should consider keeping Souleymane Doukara.
Chris Wood’s imminent exit from Leeds United should prompt a rethink over the future of Souleymane Doukara.
Doukara has not featured under new boss Thomas Christiansen and he is reportedly for sale.

He has only one year left on his Leeds contract and letting him go if he is not in the club’s plans makes sense.
The problem is that Chris Wood’s departure to Burnley would leave Leeds short of goals, and love him or loathe him, Doukara can be a valuable contributor.

Discounting Wood, of players still at the club, nobody over the past three seasons combined has scored more goals for Leeds than Souleymane Doukara.
Doukara has netted nine Championship goals across this period, hardly a big amount, but enough to show he can play a part, certainly in comparison to his teammates.
Leeds could cope without him as they hope to be able to Chris Wood, but they should not have to let both go.
Wood’s exit should prompt a U-turn over Doukara’s future, and he should be given at least another six months to try and fit into the post-Chris Wood era at Leeds.
The Whites need players who can step up, and Doukara has shown before he can be trusted to do so.
