Tyrrell Hatton played alongside Bryson DeChambeau on day one at The Open Championship.
Hatton got off to a solid start himself at The Open, posting a one-under par 69 on Thursday.
Meanwhile, DeChambeau carded a really impressive round of three-under par 67.

DeChambeau has really struggled in the major championships this season.
Nobody expected him to play well at The Open this week, but if his first round is anything to go by, he could be about to prove a lot of people wrong.

The Englishman spoke to the media after his opening round at Royal Birkdale on Thursday.
Hatton responded when asked whether he was surprised to see DeChambeau play so well at Birkdale on Thursday.
“No, it shouldn’t surprise anyone. He’s an amazing player,“ he said.

It was then put to Hatton that a lot of people will be surprised by the American’s performance.
“No, he flights the ball great,“ the Englishman replied.
“His ball flight today was really good. He didn’t really hit many bad shots.
“As I said, he’s an amazing player, and it shouldn’t really surprise anyone that he’s doing well.“

Hatton was asked by reporters to share his opinion on the pace of play at Royal Birkdale on Thursday.
“Yeah, it felt slow,“ the Englishman said.
“I don’t know.
“To be honest, the conditions we played in today were perfect, weren’t they? So in that sense, I don’t know if the golf course can — I don’t want to say play any easier.
“It’s still challenging out there. But can you imagine if we had bad weather? It would be even longer.
“I don’t know how the pace of play gets better. It’s obviously a big field. The par-5s were reachable.“
