Aston Villa defender Tyrone Mings has taken to Twitter to send a message to the fans following the match against Norwich City at the weekend.

Villa suffered a 2-1 defeat at the hands of Norwich at Villa Park in the Championship on Sunday afternoon.

The result was academic for the Villans, as Dean Smith’s side had already secured their place in the playoffs.

Mings, who is on loan from Bournemouth at the moment and is scheduled to return to his parent club at the end of the season, has thanked the Villa fans for their support this season, and has said that it has been a privilege for him to play at Villa PArk.

The 26-year-old, who can operate as a left-back or as a centre-back, is also looking forward to the playoffs.

Villa will take on West Bromwich Albion in the Championship playoff semi-finals this season.

If the Villans progress to the playoff final, then they will face either Leeds United or Derby County for a place in the Premier League.
