Last summer, despite some criticism, Arsenal actually enjoyed a transformative summer, with a number of impressive signings made.
Mikel Arteta has been able to mount a charge for Champions League qualification thanks to the arrivals of Martin Ødegaard, Ben White, Aaron Ramsdale, Takehiro Tomiyasu and others.
Now, after injuries to Kieran Tierney and Thomas Partey, cracks are starting to appear, so there’s still a lot of clever recruitment work needed.
So, let’s see who has been linked, and how the Gunners could line up with them in their starting XI next season…
Potential Arsenal transfers

Unfortunately, Tierney is facing several months out with a knee injury, which looks likely to disrupt his pre-season.
With Nuno Tavares yet to convince Arteta, we wouldn’t be surprised to see the Gunners move for a left-back, with Crystal Palace gem Tyrick Mitchell on Arsenal’s radar – according to the Evening Standard.
Alongside the England international, another new face could arrive in defence as Arsenal target a move for Barcelona colossus Ronald Araujo (ABC).

There isn’t much quality behind White and Gabriel Magalhães, so a fresh face in that department wouldn’t go amiss.
Elsewhere, according to Sky Sports, Wolves maestro Ruben Neves has emerged as a top target for the north Londoners this summer.
Wolves value the Portugal international in the region of £50m – £60m, which is affordable for Arsenal.
In attack, this is where Arteta and Edu need to get it right.
Alexandre Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah are both out of contract this summer, and with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang gone, the centre-forward department will effectively be empty – with the exception of Folarin Balogun.

According to Football London, Arsenal have made Everton forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin their No.1 striker target, so don’t be surprised to see the England international at the Emirates Stadium next season.
Keep an eye on developments at Arsenal, as there is still a lot of recruitment work to be done.
