Tottenham Hotspur fans do not appear keen on the idea of signing Florian Thauvin this summer.
Estadio Deportivo claims that Tottenham are interested in the Marseille winger, as they look to strengthen their side.
But many Tottenham fans are confused over why Thauvin would be targeted.
Thauvin’s last spell in England with Newcastle was a major disappointment.
The Frenchman has since gone on to prove his quality in Ligue 1 with Marseille, but Spurs supporters’ worries over the potential signing are understandable.
Tottenham’s record of signing players from France is indifferent at best, and while they have had their successes, they have also had many failures.
Thauvin is more experienced than many players Spurs have bought from France, but he is not at all proven in England.
And with Tottenham already having many other strong attacking options, their money may well be better spent elsewhere.
