
Some Tottenham Hotspur supporters on social media have been reacting after Fabrizio Romano delivered an update on their pursuit of a new centre-back.
The London club are keen to bring a new defender in this summer, and their top target is Cristian Romero, who has reportedly agreed personal terms with the club.
However, this is Tottenham Hotspur we’re talking about, and as we all know, transfers are very rarely straightforward for Spurs.
Therefore, Spurs have come up with a plan B, and Fabrizio Romano has relayed what their backup plan is.
Indeed, Romano says that if Spurs don’t sign Romero, they’ll try to land Kurt Zouma, Nikola Milenkovic and Takehiro Tomiyasu for the same price.
As you can imagine, this update sparked a reaction from the Tottenham fanbase, and it’s fair to say that they’re not best pleased.
Fans seemingly aren’t happy with the lack of direction, and to be honest, the backup plan doesn’t make too much sense as it would see three new centre-backs come in rather than just one.
