All eyes will be on Harry Kane this weekend as Tottenham Hotspur visit Arsenal.
The 28-year-old has looked very out of sorts since it emerged that he’d be staying at Tottenham this season, amid speculation that he wanted to join Manchester City.
Kane, who has a stupidly-good record against Arsenal in North London derbies, hasn’t scored in any of his four Premier League games this season.
And for him, that represents a steep drop-off in terms of form when you consider he won a Golden Boot award in England’s top flight last term.
The Spurs hitman did, however, find the net in an EFL Cup win away to Wolverhampton Wanderers in midweek.
And former Arsenal striker Kevin Campbell has claimed that it’s ‘typical’ of the star to come into a bit of form now, just before a derby.
He told The Highbury Squad podcast on YouTube: “He tends to have a great record against us. I think everybody seeing Harry Kane scoring in the cup, it looks ominous doesn’t it. Just when the time is right, he starts to find a bit of form. Typical Harry Kane!”
How many goals has Kane scored v Arsenal?
As mentioned, the Tottenham star has a brilliant goalscoring record against the Emirates Stadium club.
And according to Transfermarkt, Kane has netted 11 times in 15 games against Arsenal in all competitions.
In fact, that makes him the most prolific goalscorer in the history of this famous fixture.
And even with his erratic form, you just can’t rule out the player from reminding English football of his quality with a show-stealing display on Sunday.
