Tyler Roberts has suggested that he is expecting Leeds United to beat Aston Villa when the two Championship heavyweights meet.

In comments reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post, Tyler Roberts has insisted that he is sure that Leeds will come out on top when they face Aston Villa on Sunday.

Marcelo Bielsa’s men travel to Villa Park to face what could arguably be their toughest game of the season so far – along with the trip to West Brom in November.

Villa are 11th in the Championship, but after a run of seven games without defeat, a win would take Dean Smith’s men to within two points of the play-off places.

They have been lethal having scored 21 goals in their recent unbeaten run. But Roberts insisted that Leeds – who will return to the top of the table with a victory – are confident heading into the clash.

“They have scored a lot of goals but they can also concede goals and we are very threatening on the attack,” he said, as reported by the Yorkshire Evening Post.

“It will be a big game but I am sure that we will win it.”

It is a big claim for Roberts to make, but it highlights just how confident Bielsa’s men seem to be after having so many problems to deal with during the opening months of the season.

Bielsa has had more injuries to cope with than most teams deal with in an entire campaign, and yet a win will take them back to the summit and 13 points clear of seventh place, and, perhaps more significantly, 15 points clear of the Villans.
