Leeds United were in superb form on Friday night against West Brom.
When speaking to reporters, Leeds ace Tyler Roberts raved about the performance of his team against West Brom on Friday night, suggesting that the fight and fire they showed was ‘exceptional’, as quoted by the Yorkshire Post.
The Whites desperately needed all three points against the Baggies, having lost in midweek away at Queens Park Rangers, and they now sit in second spot in the Championship table, two points adrift of league leaders Norwich City.
Leeds have been mightily impressive since Marcelo Bielsa took over as manager in the summer, but they have experienced some problems in recent weeks.
The west Yorkshire outfit were back to their very best against West Brom, however, and Roberts, who provided two assists for his team on Friday night, offered high words of praise for the manner in which his team went about their business, as quoted by the Yorkshire Post:
“I think it is up there with our best performances. It was a different type of performance because of the loss on Tuesday and the kind of fight and fire that we showed was exceptional. “I think that shows what we are about as a team.”
Next up for Leeds is a trip to Bristol City on Saturday, and nothing less than a victory will do, as Bielsa’s men look to keep up with Norwich above them in the table.
