Serge Gnabry was the talk of the town once again last night, and this time, Leeds forward Tyler Roberts, had his say on his former teammate.

The West Brom academy product was reacting on Twitter to Gnabry’s brilliant left-footed strike during Bayern Munich’s win against Lyon in the Champions League semi-final last night – and those now-infamous Tony Pulis comments that come with it.

As has been the norm, every time Gnabry does something spectacular, especially on the European stage, those previous comments from Pulis resurface.

Back in 2015, he claimed that Gnabry wasn’t ‘at the level’ to play for West Brom and it is a statement that has now come back to bite the Welshman pretty hard on the backside.

Five years ago, Gnabry was sent back to Arsenal from the Hawthorns after the loanee wasn’t deemed good enough for the Midlands outfit.

Not long after, Arsene Wenger would sell the quick-footed trickster to Werder Bremen, where his road to redemption would start.

He now finds himself playing for the biggest club in Germany and one of the biggest clubs in the world – it’s fair to say, he has proved a lot of people wrong.
