Tyler Roberts hasn’t kicked a ball for Leeds United this season.

It’s a case of once bitten, twice shy for Leeds United fans at the moment.
There’s no doubt that the Whites have enjoyed an excellent start to the 2019-20 campaign, winning 10 points from a possible 12.
But no Leeds supporter will be getting carried away. In the Championship, a total capitulation is never far away, as the heartbroken fanbase discovered last season.
Plus, Marcelo Bielsa’s side haven’t started this season any better than the previous one, which adds further need for caution.
The quality of Leeds’ bench showed on Wednesday as substitutes Eddie Nketiah and Helder Costa combined for the only goal in a 1-0 win over Brentford.
Still, things are looking very promising – and even more so when you consider the fact that Bielsa still has Tyler Roberts to come back.
The Wales striker, a £4 million signing in January of 2018 [The Daily Mail], looked brilliant playing as a number 10 during the second half of last season.

Bielsa has successfully converted him into a playmaker and although his return will provide another headache for the Argentine in terms of team selection, it’s a good headache as managers often say – the direct opposite to the sort of headache that he had for most of last year when his squad was down to the bare bones.
Earlier this month, the Leeds boss refused to put a time-frame on when the 20-year-old will be back.
United, for now, already have brilliant, game-changing options off the bench and the return of Roberts will only add to that.
