Leeds United head coach Marcelo Bielsa has said that he has a lot of confidence in Tyler Roberts, as quoted in Leeds Live.
Bielsa has said that the 22-year-old Leeds player is still not playing to the best of his ability.
The Leeds boss has said that he wants the Wales international to evolve, and believes that he can take a leading role in the team.
Bielsa made the comments following Leeds’s 1-0 win against Watford at Elland Road in the Premier League this past weekend.
Roberts, who can play as a striker, winger or attacking midfielder, came on as a substitute in the 78th minute.
Bielsa said about Roberts: “He still has not linked his qualities with his performances.
“I in particular have a lot of confidence in his resources. I feel he can unbalance. I hope he can evolve and take a leading role.”

Improving
Roberts is still only 22, and we must be patient with the Leeds attacker.
The Wales international is very talented and has played well on a number of occasions for Leeds over the years.
What Roberts has failed to achieve is a regular run in the team.
To be fair to the Welshman, it is not easy to play ahead of the likes of Patrick Bamford, Raphinha and Rodrigo.

What Roberts needs to do is continue to work hard and make the most of the chances he gets.
The Leeds no. 11 has made seven substitute appearances in the Premier League and has played twice in the Carabao Cup so far this season.
