Leeds United striker Tyler Roberts has suggested to The Yorkshire Evening Post that West Bromwich Albion are going to maintain their challenge for automatic promotion until the end of the season.

West Brom are fourth in the Championship table at the moment with 46 points from 26 matches, five points behind leaders Leeds.

Roberts, who can also operate as a winger, joined the West Yorkshire outfit from the Baggies in January 2018 for a transfer fee reported by The Yorkshire Evening Post to be worth £2.5 million.

The 19-year-old Wales international believes that Darren Moore’s side will continue their challenge for automatic promotion, and is impressed with their goalscoring prowess.

West Brom have scored 54 goals in the Championship so far this season, While Leeds have found the net 44 times.

Roberts told The Yorkshire Evening Post about West Brom: “I think they are definitely going to stay up there.

“They have shown that they can score goals but I don’t think we are worrying about opposition too much.”

Bouncing back

Leeds have lost their last three competitive matches and their past two Championship games.

The Whites are going through a bad spell at the moment, and they need to bounce back in order to keep their title challenge on track.
