Speaking to Liverpool’s official club website, Tyler Morton has been waxing-lyrical about Kaide Gordon after his FA Cup debut for the Reds at the weekend.
Liverpool dismantled Shrewsbury at the weekend. They ran out 4-1 winners despite fielding a rotated side, and they handed out opportunities to a number of young players.
Gordon was arguably the pick of the bunch. The energetic winger looked electric down the right-wing, and he was consistently looking to make things happen for the Anfield outfit.
Morton was seemingly very impressed by Gordon, and he thinks this is just the beginning for the youngster.
What’s Morton said about Gordon?
The midfielder praised the 17-year-old.
“Kaide’s quality, everyone knows that. Kaide’s very, very good. For a 17-year-old, even coming and playing in these games is going to be tough but the composure he’s got and his left foot, everyone knows he’s just got quality. Hopefully this is the first of many, which I think it will be, and I thought he played really well. I’m really happy for him,” Morton said.

Future is bright
These comments perfectly encapsulate just how bright the future is at Anfield.
Tyler Morton, a 19-year-old who has impressed at first-team level has now gone on the record to praise a player who is two years younger than him.
Liverpool have a ridiculous amount of young talent coming through right now, and there are so many players to keep an eye on.
Harvey Elliott, Curtis Jones and Morton himself are on their way to establishing themselves as first-team stars, and it sounds as though Gordon could follow in their footsteps in the coming years.
