Leeds United-owned Tyler Denton shares guidance from Ian Harte, while David Prutton praises Everton-owned Matthew Pennington.
Harte is one of the greatest players in the history of Leeds and was on the books of the West Yorkshire outfit until 2004 after coming through the club’s academy.
The former Republic of Ireland international is one of the best left-backs to have graced Elland Road, and the ex-Reading and Bournemouth man remains hugely popular among the Leeds fans even to this day.
Denton also operates as a left-back, and the 21-year-old, who recently joined Port Vale in League Two on loan for the 2017-18 season, has revealed the advice and guidance he has been receiving from the 39-year-old Harte.
“He has been great with me as well, like even just little things when he has seen me play, what I can improve on, even things like around the training ground, like carry and present yourself to people, it makes a massive difference,” Denton told Leeds’s official website when asked about guidance from Harte.
Meanwhile, David Prutton has praised the performance of Matthew Pennington for Leeds in their 3-2 win against Bolton at the weekend.
Pennington, who joined the Whites on a season-long loan deal from Premier League club Everton in the summer transfer window, featured in the Championship game against Bolton away from home at the Macron Stadium on Sunday evening.
The 22-year-old, who can operate as a centre-back or as a right-back, started the match and played for 64 minutes before being taken off due to an ankle injury.
“He looked very calm, he looked very composed,” said Prutton about Pennington’s performance against Bolton on the Sky Sports Football channel on Sunday evening in the post-match analysis after the live broadcast of the game (6:46pm, August 6, 2017).
