Tyler Denton and Kalvin Phillips have signed new contracts with Leeds United.

Leeds United have secured the long-term futures of two of their brightest young players, Tyler Denton and Kalvin Phillips.

Denton is 21 years of age and can operate as a left-back or as a midfielder, while Phillips is 21 years old and plays as a central midfielder.

As announced on Leeds’s official website, Phillips has signed a four-year contract and will remain at Elland Road until 2021.

Denton has put pen to paper on a new three-year contract with the Championship club, although according to The Yorkshire Evening Post, the youngster could be sent out on loan in the summer transfer window.

Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to react to Phillips signing a new contract, while Denton appears to have made fun of himself on the social networking site regarding the photo of him signing his new deal.

Leeds have one of the best squads in the Championship, and the fans will be hoping for the team to finish in the top six this season.

The West Yorkshire outfit narrowly failed to finish in the playoffs during the 2016-17 campaign, but the Elland Road faithful should be optimistic this time around.
