Sunderland’s on-loan defender Tyias Browning has been impressed by Chris Coleman’s influence.

Sunderland have started with a back three in their last two matches, and have kept two clean sheets.
The Black Cats first managed to collect a credible point against Wolverhampton Wanderers, before beating Fulham last weekend.

And Browning says that Sunderland have been working hard on improving their understanding of playing with three defenders.
The Everton loanee said: “We played with a back four in the first few games under this gaffer. I just thought he was going to use three at the back for certain games when we did for the first time, but I know he’s used it for Wales.
“We’ve worked on it a lot in training. Defensively that was the main thing we worked on so I could see him using it going forward but we’re all good enough players to switch and play as a four as well.

“I am enjoying it at the moment. It is paying off. The three has been the main focus and it is showing.”
Browning has been an important player in Sunderland’s starting line-up recently, with his performances in impressing.
Sunderland now finally have some positivity building, with Coleman’s side taking seven points in the first five matches the Welsh boss has taken charge of.
Sunderland are next in action at the weekend, when they take on Steve Cotterill’s struggling Birmingham City side at the Stadium of Light.
