Ty Lue confirmed what many already presumed – he played a part in the LA Clippers sending Chris Paul home!
The LA Clippers shocked the league yesterday in one of the most disrespectful moves in recent NBA history.
The Clippers sent Chris Paul home during a road trip, confirming that they would cut his stint with them short during what is supposed to be his final NBA season.

Ty Lue admits ‘good friend’ Chris Paul didn’t fit with LA Clippers
Ty Lue spoke to reporters in the aftermath of the LA Clippers’ release of Chris Paul. The head coach admitted he played a part in Paul’s departure, as he didn’t think it was a good fit.
However, he tried to soften the blow, claiming that Paul was a dear friend, and he didn’t want to see his tenure with the team end this way.
“I just think it wasn’t a good fit for what he was looking for. It is what it is. Do I want to see CP go out like this? No. I have a lot of respect for him. He’s been a friend of mine over the years.
“You never wanna see a great go out like this. But I’m pretty sure he will find something, because he’s a great player. He’s a — you know. I didn’t wanna see it end like this.”
LA Clippers majorly disrespected Chris Paul
The LA Clippers could have gone about this situation in an entirely different way. To release an all-time great player, not to mention the greatest player in your franchise’s history, is shameful.
Chris Paul is an NBA legend and one of the best point guards in the history of the sport. He was in the final year of his career and just wanted a dignified exit from the game he dedicated his life to.
What makes matters worse is that Chris Paul chose to sign with the LA Clippers, because they offered him a chance to end his career with the team.
Clippers GM Lawrence Frank, Ty Lue, and the rest of the Clippers management must understand how this makes them look to the fraternity and brotherhood of the NBA players.
