After failing to crack Nottingham Forest’s team, Modou Barrow is experiencing similar struggles at Leeds.
Swansea City’s Modou Barrow
It was two years ago yesterday that Modou Barrow clinched a loan move to Nottingham Forest.
24 months on and he is on a similar spell at Leeds United, and is finding it even tougher than he did at the City Ground.
Barrow was loaned out by then Swansea boss Garry Monk in order to get first team football.
He made only two starts, four appearances in total, with Dougie Freedman failing to get the best out of the Gambian winger.
Barrow failed to score and provided one assist, but this is better than he has managed at Leeds United so far.
Now manager at Leeds, Garry Monk moved on deadline day to bring his former player to Elland Road on loan for the rest of the campaign.
Barrow is yet to impress enough to earn a starting spot, with Spanish youth international Alfonso Pedraza preferred.

He has only four substitute appearances to show for his spell at Leeds so far, amassing a paltry 84 minutes of football.
His struggles at the Whites show his career has not progressed in the past two years, and he has an uphill challenge to prevent his spell at Leeds becoming a write off.
Unlike at Forest, the chance remains for him to become a hero, with Leeds battling to earn a play-off spot and win promotion.
It will take a big turnaround in fortunes for Barrow to do so, and there is reason for Leeds fans to be concerned at his lack of progress.
His failure to once again make an impact at Championship level is a bleak sign for his Swansea City career, with a familiar story playing out at Elland Road as it did the City Ground.
