The Sun reported this week that Spurs are close to a £35 million agreement with Barcelona to sign Andre Gomes.

Gomes has been on loan at Everton over the past season.

Barcelona need funds to finance the Gomes deal and balance the books and shifting their unwanted players is key to this.

The chance to sign Griezmann means Tottenham could secure Gomes quickly.

Griezmann moving to Barcelona would be bad news for long term Tottenham target Malcom.

The Brazilian only made five La Liga starts in his debut La Liga season.

The Mail reported in January how Spurs were keen on the winger, who decided to stay put and complete his debut season in Spain.
