Tottenham Hotspur slipped to defeat at Anfield.

Tottenham Hotspur lost 2-1 at Anfield on Sunday in a game where they did not really deserve to drop points.
The fine lines of victory were illustrated by two costly errors from key players.
Moussa Sissoko was culpable first. He blazed over wildly when through on goal in the second half.
The game was poised and Virgil van Dijk backed off him, to prevent him passing to Heung-Min Son.
Sissoko lacks poise in front of goal at the best of times and this time he was true to form.
Failing to even test goalkeeper Alisson was poor.
His error was compounded by goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, who failed to clear a ball into the box.

Lloris’ weak clearance ended up being diverted in for an own goal by defender Toby Alderweireld, who could do nothing about it.
France international Lloris has been inconsistent all season. He let Spurs down yesterday at just the wrong time.
One player who has been under pressure and began to redeem himself was Christian Eriksen.
Eriksen has found it tough in recent weeks, but stepped up to set up an equaliser for Lucas Moura at a key time.
The Dane is a big game player and while Spurs ended up losing the game, this was an encouraging sign for the weeks ahead.
