An injury to Kemar Roofe at Leeds United presents the Whites with a dilemma.

Leeds United top scorer Kemar Roofe is out injured after damaging his knee ligaments, the club confirmed.

It puts pressure on the club’s strikers Patrick Bamford and Tyler Roberts.

Injury and Roofe’s form has restricted the pair’s opportunities this season, and they have scored three goals each.

Leeds may need help to replace Roofe, who has netted 14.

There are two young strikers in the ranks who are itching for their chances should they be called upon.

Ryan Edmondson signed for Leeds from York City last season and made an immediate impact for the under-23 side.

The way he dominated games and scored for fun, it seemed impossible that he was just 16.

It did not take long for him to make his debut and he featured strongly in pre-season under Bielsa.

Injury kept him out of Leeds’ rotated FA Cup side against QPR, and now he is recovered, the 17-year-old will be ready to stake his claim.

Kun Temenuzhkov did come off the bench in the cup game and he looked lively.

The former Barcelona prodigy has had a strong start to 2019 and been a regular for the under-23s.

He has been working hard for his chance and the 19-year-old’s natural eye for goal could help Leeds steal a game or two if Bielsa is willing to take a gamble.

The Argentine manager has shown faith in young players so far, and it would follow suit if he looks to the academy to solve his striker dilemma.
