Premier League outfit Everton reportedly want two Ligue 1 defenders – Montpellier’s Ruben Aguilar and PSG star Thomas Meunier.

Seamus Coleman has been Everton’s number one right-back, and one of the first names on the team sheet, for as long as memory will allow.
But having turned 30 in October, it seems that The Toffees may be planning to phase him out like they did with fellow veterans Leighton Baines and Phil Jagielka.
According to Le10 Sport, Thomas Meunier is a target for the Merseyside giants with the Belgium international expected to leave PSG in the summer. A swashbuckling full-back with superb technical ability, the World Cup semi-finalist is not part of Thomas Tuchel’s plans at the Parc des Princes.
Calciomercato have claimed, meanwhile, that another right-sided defender is on Everton’s radar – Montpellier’s Ruben Aguilar.

The Frenchman has been a key player for Montpellier this season, who are fifth in Ligue 1 and have the division’s second best defensive record.
Both are younger than Coleman, aged 27 and 25 respectively, and would threaten to take the long-serving Irishman’s place in the starting XI should they arrive at Goodison Park in the summer.
Now, Coleman has successfully recovered from that horror leg break he suffered on international duty to start 20 Premier League games this season. But there is a growing feeling that he is no longer the same rampaging, goalscoring right-back who was once among Europe’s very best.
