According to Sky Italia’s Gianluca Di Marzio, West Ham United have made a first bid for Fiorentina defender Nikola Milenkovic.
It’s claimed that the Hammers have made a first offer worth €25million (£23million), but Fiorentina want more money.
SportItalia’s Alfredo Pedulla adds that West Ham actually offered €30million (£27.5million) for Milenkovic, but Fiorentina want €40million (£36.5million).
Fiorentina are considering their options, but it ultimately seems likely that West Ham will have to cough up much more money to secure a deal.
Milenkovic, 22, joined Fiorentina from Partizan Belgrade in 2017, and has now racked up 92 appearances for the Italian side.
The Serbian international is a giant presence at 6ft 5in tall, possessing great size, strength and aerial ability.

He is also quick for his size and adept on the ball, so much so that he has even played as a right back in the past – another area where West Ham need reinforcements.
Milenkovic could therefore kill two birds with one stone, but they are some way away from tempting Fiorentina into a deal.
