Rangers failed to break down Spartak Moscow on Thursday evening in the Europa League as the two sides played out a 0-0 draw at Ibrox, and two defenders reacted on Instagram.

The likes of Alfredo Morelos, Lassana Coulibaly and Daniel Candeias missed chances during the clash, as Rangers remained frustrated against the Russian outfit.

The Gers remain at the top of Group G in the Europa League, sitting on five points after beating Rapid Vienna and drawing away to Villarreal. Remaining unbeaten in 11 European outings, Rangers have set a record for a Scottish club.

Captain James Tavernier and summer signing Joe Worrall remained on the pitch for the entire 90 minutes, and the duo posted on Instagram after the 0-0 draw.

Worrall has broken into the starting eleven of late above Nikola Katic, and impressed alongside Connor Goldson as the duo kept Brazilian hotshot Ze Luis.

The duo are expected to start for a second consecutive match together in defence as Gerrard’s side go up against Derek McInnes’ Aberdeen on Sunday afternoon at Hampden Park in the Scottish League Cup semi-final.
