Brendan Rodgers is looking to strengthen his Celtic squad.

Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers has told the Daily Mail that he is hoping to end the weekend with two new signings as winger Scott Sinclair closes in on a move to Glasgow.
The Bhoys manager has already dipped into the transfer market twice this summer in order to sign defender Kolo Toure and striker Moussa Dembele, and a third arrival is on the verge of completion.

It’s claimed that Aston Villa winger Scott Sinclair is set to join Celtic in a £3.5m deal, reuniting with his former Chelsea coach and Swansea City manager Rodgers.
The 27-year-old is expected to complete his protracted move to Glasgow by the end of the weekend, and should he join by Monday, he will be eligible to play for Celtic in the next round of the Champions League qualifiers, against Israeli side Hapoel Be’er Sheva.

However, Sinclair may not be the only player signing for Celtic this weekend, as Rodgers is clearly hoping to add more new faces to his squad.
Other areas of the Celtic squad need some attention, and despite spending a fair amount of his budget on Sinclair, it seems that the former Manchester City could be just one of two signings this weekend.
Rodgers has spoken to the Daily Mail, and suggested that whilst he hopes to get one deal done imminently – believed to be Sinclair – he also wants to see another new signing arrive by Monday.

“Ideally it would be two players,” said Rodgers. “Ideally I would hope one of them would be over the line this weekend. If the other one wasn’t by Monday then hopefully not long after that,” he added.
With Celtic up against Monday’s deadline for Champions League registration, Rodgers will be keen to strengthen his squad in order to make sure that Celtic make it back to the group stage of the competition for the first time since 2013 – and if that’s the case, it will be money well spent.
