The Aston Villa striker has moved on loan to the Australian side, who already employee to ex-Leeds United footballers.

Two of Ross McCormack’s teammates at Leeds United await him in Melbourne, after the striker’s loan from Aston Villa was confirmed overnight.
McCormack, who was linked with a move back to Leeds during the summer transfer window, has moved to Melbourne City as cover for their injured captain Bruno Fornaroli.
And the Scot will likely line up alongside Neil Kilkenny during his time down under, with another familiar face, Patrick Kisnorbo, also employed by the club as coach of the women’s team.

The trio played together during the 2010-11 campaign, in which Leeds finished seventh in the Championship under Simon Grayson.
Kilkenny was sold to Bristol City ahead of the following season, while Kisnorbo and McCormack lasted another two and three years respectively.

The latter was sold to Fulham for £11 million, and earned another big money move to Aston Villa in summer 2016.
His Villa Park career has not gone to plan so far however, having spent the second half of last season on loan to Nottingham Forest and failing to feature in a league game this campaign.
